ŠAJDÍKOVE HUMENCE-SENICA, Slovakia — LIU men's golfer Lukas Gabura has produced a big achievement in his native Slovakia.

Gabura, a rising sophomore with the Sharks, won the Slovak Junior Amateur Championship on Monday.

Gabura shot 208 over three rounds (68-71-69) to win the Junior Men 21 event by three strokes.

The event was held at the Penati Golf Resort's Legend Course from Saturday through Monday.

The 20-year-old Gabura was an All-Northeast Conference second-team selection during the 2021-22 academic year.
