BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Cord Dobrinski has been named NEC Co-Player of the Week for the second straight week, the conference announced.
Dobrinski's hot streak continued as he led LIU to a 4-0 week, with a mid-week win over Iona and a series sweep against Coppin State. The senior led the Sharks with a .500 average, hitting one home run, a triple, and three doubles while driving in five and scoring a team-high ten runs on the week. He also had five stolen bases as well.
One of Dobrinski's best showings of the week came during the Sharks' 13-1 series finale victory over Coppin State on April 19. The outfielder went 3-for-5, hitting a triple and double while driving in two and scoring three runs on the day.
LIU will take the field once again on Friday, April 24, hosting Delaware State at 3 p.m.
