EDISON, N.J. — Redshirt freshman Julia Allen of the Long Island University women's water polo team received MAAC Co-Rookie of the Week honors on Wednesday. 

This is Allen's fourth Rookie of the Week award this season, having previously received the award on Feb. 18, March 4, and March 11. 

Allen scored six goals for the Sharks last weekend, also totaling one assist, two steals, 12 drawn exclusions, and one block. The redshirt freshman from Lake Worth Beach, Florida, scored three goals in LIU's 19-9 win over VMI on Sunday. 

Allen led LIU in goals scored this season, finishing the year with 66 goals and 14 assists for a team-high 80 points. She also led LIU in drawn exclusions with 79.
