STONY BROOK, N.Y. — LIU's men's and women's cross country teams began the 2025 season Saturday morning, with the men's team finishing in sixth place at Stony Brook University.
Competing against Stony Brook, Fordham, Seton Hall, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart and USMMA, the Sharks were led by
Brian Masai, who placed 24
th with a time of 20:14:10 on the men's side in the 6k race.
Robby Levy was not too far behind, placing 28
th with a time of 20:20:90.
In the women's 4k race,
Ally Carillo finished with a time of 15:51:70 and
Kaysie Luna (15:55:40) also put forth a strong effort for LIU.
The Sharks will next host the LIU Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 6.
