Bronx, N.Y. — LIU cross country competed at the IC4A/ECAC Championships Friday morning, with
Brian Masai and
Robby Levy leading the way as the men's team secured a 16th place finish.
Masai was the Sharks' top finisher in the men's 8k race, coming in 66th overall with a time of 25:41.7 and a 8:22.3 split. Right behind the freshman was his teammate
Robby Levy, who finished 67th with a time of 25:42.9 and a 8:23.1 split.
Having already won two NEC Rookie of the Week awards this season,
Kaysie Luna rose to the occasion yet again as LIU's top performer in the women's 6k race. The freshman was a top-100 finisher in the race (coming in at 97th) with a 23:01.8 time and 8:31.2 split.
LIU cross country will next compete at the NEC Championship on Saturday, Nov. 1.
