BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU men's cross country squad secured a second place finish while hosting the LIU Fall Festival on Saturday morning.
Competing alongside Hofstra, Adelphi, Bridgeport, Staten Island, and St. Thomas Aquinas in the men's 8k race, the Sharks were led by Walid Jarfani, who placed third with a time of 26:04:22, followed by fourth place finisher
Robby Levy (26:10:68). They maintained paces of 5:15 and 5:16, respectively.
Brian Masai (sixth place, 26:47:11) and
John Schwab (seventh place, 27:11:53) were also among LIU's top performers.
Kaysie Luna was LIU's top finisher in the women's 5k race, with a time of 19:46:43 and a pace of 6:22.
Ally Carillo finished with a time of 20:43:18 and a pace of 6:39.
The Sharks will next compete in the Ted Owen Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 20.
