PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The LIU women's water polo completed its regular season in impressive fashion on Saturday, defeating Villanova 15-13 and La Salle 19-8.

Paola Dominguez-Castro led the team with 10 goals in two matches while Sydney deVroedt was a defensive standout, recorded seven field blocks against La Salle.

The Sharks finished the 2024 season with a record of 22-6, 10-2 in MAAC play.

LIU will take on Mount St. Mary's in the first round of the MAAC tournament on Friday at 1 p.m. If the Sharks are victorious they will take on Marist on Saturday.
