STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The LIU women's water polo team continues its dominant run on Saturday afternoon, defeating VMI 29-8 and La Salle 14-9.
The Sharks jumped out to early leads in both matches and never let up, extending their win streak to five games and staying perfect in MAAC play.
Paola Dominguez-Castro scored a team-high 12 goals in two matches, bringing her season total to 87.
Sydney deVroedt was second on the team with eight goals.
Elena Camarena scored six and
Emma Sardo scored five.
The Sharks return to the pool Sunday afternoon to take on Villanova for Senior Day at noon and then Wagner at 5 p.m. for a battle between two nationall ranked teams.
