PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A balanced offensive attack helped LIU women's water polo win its third match of the season.
 
The Sharks trounced Austin College, 18-9, on Saturday afternoon in their second match of the day. The team now sits at 3-3.
 
Eleven different players scored, which included seven players with two goals: Diba Peiravani, Jessica Dean, Kate Hinrichs, Rachel Loomis, Kate Fischer, Elena Camarena and Amelia Sanchez.
 
Paola Dominguez-Castro, Ale Aranguren and Xonhane Medina each added one.
 
Ironically, the last time these teams met was Feb. 26, 2022, a 19-4 victory for the Sharks.
 
LIU returns to action tomorrow at 9:15 a.m. against Santa Clara.
