MADISON, N.J. – The LIU women's fencing team continued its dominance of local opponents Sunday, beating Drew three times. The Sharks won the first round, 18-9, the second round 14-13, and the third and final round, 20-7.
In round one, LIU won two of the three weapons, taking epee 6-3 and foil 8-1. The Sharks lost sabre, 5-4. In round two, the sabre squad flipped the switch, winning the weapon 5-4. Foil also won again, 6-3, while epee fell 6-3. And the Sharks dominated in the third round, winning all three weapons. LIU won epee 8-1, foil, 7-2, and sabre 5-4.

Laura Fekete led the way, going 6-0 in her bouts. Junior

Anna Szántay was dominant, going 9-0, while freshman
Kristina Sarkisian was also perfect at 8-0. And in sabre, freshman
Chejsa-Kaili Seck finished the weekend unbeaten, as she went 9-0 Sunday, following her 6-0 record against Sacred Heart Saturday.
