EVANSTON, Ill. – The LIU women's fencing team took on some of the top programs in the country before Thanksgiving break at the Northwestern Invitational. The Sharks scored points against all four teams, but went 0-4 on the day.
 
Northwestern defeats LIU 20-7 (Saber 6-3, Foil 8-1, Epee 6-3)
Tufts defeats LIU, 15-12 (Saber 4-5, Foil 5-4, Epee 6-3)
Denison defeats LIU, 15-12 (Saber 7-2, Foil 4-5, Epee 4-5)
Notre Dame defeats LIU, 18-9 (Saber 7-2, Foil 6-3, Epee 5-4)
