BROOKVILLE, N.Y.– The Long Island University women's gymnastics team (11-8, 1-3 EAGL) defeated the Southern Connecticut State University Owls, 193.825 to 193.125, Friday night at Pratt Recreation Center. LIU set a new season-high team scores on the uneven bars (48.575) and
Raphaëlle Perreault set a new career high with a score of 9.900 on the floor, recording the highest floor routine for the Sharks since
Syd Morris (9.925) and
AnnaLisa Page (9.900) in the 2024 season.
Perreault placed in four of her five categories on the night, she claimed the all-around title and floor title for the sharks while tying for second on the vault and third on the uneven bars.
The Sharks swept the awards for the uneven bars after setting a new team high for the season with
Carly Kliewer,
Isabella Savino and
Brisa Carraro tied with Perreault.

LIU honored six graduating gymnasts at the end of the night in their last home meet before the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Championships at the end of the month. The gymnasts honored were graduate student, Burkhart, and seniors,

Angelina Hogan, Page, Savino, and
Kayla Toniolo.
The Sharks will travel to Providence, Rhode Island on Sunday, Mar. 8, where they will faceoff in a quad meet with Brown University, Bridgeport University, and Southern Connecticut once again. The meet is scheduled to start a 2 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
