BROOKVILLE, N.Y.– The Long Island University women's gymnastics team (10-7, EAGL 1-2) took second place Friday night when they hosted the University of New Hampshire, University of Bridgeport, and Rhode Island College for their first home quad meet of the season. The Sharks had a season-best team score on the vault of 48.775 points and the highest team vault score under head coach, Taylor Colwell.
Brisa Carraro for the second week straight earned the uneven bars title with a score of 9.825 to tie her season best.
The Sharks, with their second highest team score of the season of 194.525, defeated Bridgeport (193.525) and Rhode Island (188.950), however, narrowly missed out on overcoming New Hampshire (194.650) in the last East Atlantic Gymnastics Leage (EAGL) regular season meet of the year.
