BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU Acrobatics & Tumbling team won its home opener Saturday night, defeating Georgian Court 233.430 – 193.350.
 
In first-year head coach Tiara Stokes' first win, the Sharks bested the Lions in each event:
 
Compulsory: 35.350 – 27.650
Acro: 26.500 – 22.300
Pyramid: 28.650 – 26.000
Toss: 23.500 – 21.300
Tumbling: 45.950 – 35.200
Team Event: 73.480 – 60.900

This team has demonstrated a strong start, and as we maintain this trajectory of growth I know we will have more victories in our future," said head coach Tiara Stokes.
