BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Kaysie Luna has been named NEC Cross Country Women's Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.
 
The freshman was LIU's top finisher in the women's 6k race at the Paul Short Run, competing on Oct. 3. She finished with a time of 22:31.8 and a split of 10:51:5. This is the second time Luna has led the way for the Sharks, after previously standing tall as her team's top finisher in the women's 5k race at the LIU Fall Festival on Sept. 6.
 
LIU cross country will return to competition on Oct. 17, taking part in the IC4A Championship.
