BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Kaysie Luna and Brian Masai have been named to the NEC Cross Country All-Rookie Teams, the conference announced Tuesday.
 
This caps off a campaign full of accolades for Luna, a three-time Rookie of the Week award recipient during the season. Luna was also LIU's top finisher in the Women's 6k race at the NEC Championship, coming in eleventh place overall and subsequently being named to the All-Tournament Team. Luna was also previously named NEC Freshman of the Year.
 
Masai also had a strong freshman campaign, with the highlights including rising as LIU's top finisher in the Men's 8k race at the IC4A/ECAC Championships. In addition, he also helped the Sharks' men's squad secure a third-place finish at the NEC Championship.
