BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The Northeast Conference on Wednesday announced the 2024-25 conference schedules for all of its basketball programs including the men's and women's LIU Sharks. 

The men's team, led by NBA legend Rod Strickland, is looking to bounce back from an injury-plagued season and be a force within the NEC. They begin conference play in 2025 when they host Le Moyne on January 3, followed by welcoming a new face to the NEC in Chicago State, who they play on January 5. The season ends with a home matchup with Wagner on February 27 followed by a road game on March 1 against Farleigh Dickinson.

Coach Rene Haynes and her Sharks find themselves also hosting Le Moyne in their NEC opener, though on January 2. LIU will enjoy a four-game homestand from January 23 to February 6 playing host to St. Francis U (January 23), Merrimack (January 25), Chicago State (February 1), and Wagner (February 6).
