BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Long Island University women's basketball team announced its complete 2025-26 season schedule on Thursday, including 11 home matchups inside the Steinberg Wellness Center and one game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Season tickets packages are available for purchase here.
"I'm really excited about the schedule we were able to put together for this season," head coach Neil Harrow said. "We will see some bigger non-conference opponents such as South Florida, Xavier, Dayton, and Fordham, and also some more local teams in a similar situation to us who are building in year one."
Following their season-opening matchup at Northeastern on Nov. 3, the Sharks will stay on the road for a game against the University of South Florida on Nov. 7. After a road clash against Delaware State University on Nov. 15, LIU returns to Brooklyn to take on American University on Nov. 20 in its home opener.
LIU will begin a five-game stretch away from home on Nov. 30, when the Sharks travel to the Bronx to take on Fordham University. From then, LIU will stay in Brooklyn to take on Rider University at the Barclays Center on Dec. 2 before road games against the University of Dayton on Dec. 7, Xavier University on Dec. 9, and the University of Massachusetts Lowell on Dec. 14.
The Sharks then host Berkeley College on Dec. 29 to close out its non-conference schedule before the NEC slate begins on Jan. 2 on the road against Central Connecticut State University.
"All these challenges will give us a chance to learn each other, grow as a team, and prepare us well for conference play," Harrow said. "I can't wait to compete with this group!"
