UNCASVILLE, Conn. — Alana Ricketts finished first in the vault and
Syd Morris won the all-around and beam at the All-American Challenge at Mohegan Sun on Monday night.
Overall, LIU finished third of four teams with a score of 192.025.
Southern Connecticut State won with a score of 194.150, with New Hampshire the runner-up at 193.325. Yale rounded out the four-team competition with a 191.250.
Ricketts' 9.875 score in the vault matched UNH's Kylie Gorgenyi for first place.
Morris produced a 9.950 in the beam to edge teammate
Cael Bixler (9.900) for first. Morris' all-around score of 39.025 also claimed top honors.
The Sharks next compete on Friday at Towson, along with Temple, at 6 p.m.
