BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Sean Boll,
Chris Campbell and
Jake Murphy have earned the respect of their LIU men's lacrosse teammates. As a result, the trio have been elected by their peers as captains for the 2022-23 academic year.
Boll, a 6-foot attackman from Seaford, ranked third on the Sharks with 25 goals and also contributed five assists and 27 ground balls this past season. He was the Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week on April 25 after tallying a career-high eight goals at Hobart. Boll scored with 56 seconds remaining to pull LIU within a goal of top-seeded and 19th-ranked St. Joseph's in the NEC semifinals.
Campbell, a 6-foot defenseman from Shrewsbury, Mass., earned first-team All-NEC and all-tournament team honors in 2022. He contributed 31 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers, plus delivered his lone assist in the NEC tourney. He arrived at LIU this past academic year after previously playing three seasons with Hartford.
Murphy, a 5-foot-11 midfielder from Ridge, tallied one goal, four assists, 28 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers in 15 games in 2022.

Eric Wolf said. "I have the utmost confidence in Jake, Chris and Sean to lead our team through the 2023 season."
