BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Nine student-athletes from the LIU men's lacrosse team have earned All-Northeast Conference (NEC) honors ahead of the Sharks' opening-round NEC Tournament matchup against Robert Morris on Thursday afternoon.
Midfielder
Aidan Zuhoski was named First Team All-NEC after recording 22 goals and 9 assists in 13 regular season games. He also notched two game-winning goals during his impressive sophomore campaign.
Six Sharks were named to the Second Team All-NEC:
- Cameron Connolly (attack) – 22 goals, 12 assists
- Tyler Davide (defense) – 27 ground balls, 20 caused turnovers, 3 goals
- Ryan Fountain (defense) – 45 ground balls, 15 caused turnovers
- Nick Kasia (defense) – 29 ground balls, 12 caused turnovers
- Ben McIsaac (attack) – 28 goals, 7 assists
- Mark Regan (attack) – 25 goals, 19 assists, 29 ground balls
Freshmen
Charlie Hunnewell (midfield – 5 goals, 10 assists) and
Tyler Gresh (goalie – 3 wins, .466 save percentage, 54 saves) were named to the NEC All-Rookie Team.
No. 3 seed LIU will face No. 2 seed Robert Morris on Thursday at 12 p.m. at Le Moyne College in the NEC Tournament semifinals.
