SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The LIU men's volleyball team wrapped up their weekend in SoCal on Sunday when it took on the University of Saint Katherine, downing the Firebirds 3-1 (25-20, 25-18, 20-25, 25-20).
SHARK BITES
- The Sharks took the first two sets of the match to lead the Firebirds 2-0 before the hosts, hitting a match high .571 percent in the second set, came back and grabbed the 25-20 win over LIU in the third set to put the match at 2-1. In the fourth set the Sharks regained control, hitting .419 percent, and took the match 3-1 with a 25-20 win in the set.
- Sophomore middle Hasan Hadžic led for the Sharks with 13 kills and hit a remarkable .765 percent for the match.
- Junior outside Caden Satterfield got 12 kills and grabbed five digs.
- The two freshman setters had an evening, Luca Holanda led with 31 assists and Kasey Clouet had 22.
- The Sharks hit .368 as a team for the match.
- Up next, the Sharks are at home against Edward Waters University on Wednesday, March 9 at 7 p.m.
