HARTFORD, Conn. — Head coach Rene Haynes and the LIU women's basketball team picked up another road win after knocking off host Hartford, 70-54, on Saturday afternoon.

"Today we wanted to focus on details," coach Rene Haynes said. "We focused on us and how we can be better together. I feel we did that today."

Ashley Austin scored a team-high 14 points to lead the Sharks to their second win of the season.

Emaia O'Brien finished with 11 points, while Cristina Bermejo and Sydni Smith followed up with eight points each.

"We had many players make some awesome plays on each end of the floor. We will continue to celebrate each other and continue to focus on how we can get better daily," Haynes said. 

The Sharks wrap up their four-game road trip on Thursday night against Syracuse.
