Fraga Cordoba Named NEC Defensive Player of the Week

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - For the second week in a row, an LIU women's soccer goal keeper was named the Northeast Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon. This week, senior Lydia Fraga Cordoba earned the honors, just one week after Kayla DeTreux. Fraga Cordoba was named the co-Defensive Player of the Week.

Cordoba posted a five save shutout including a PK stop in the 52nd minute against 2x defending America East champion and preseason favorite Stony Brook on Thursday.

Up next, LIU hits the road to take on Vermont, Thursday, Sept. 2 at 6 p.m.
