Central Islip, N.Y. – The Sharks won their second in a row with a 3-2 victory over Delaware State on Thursday.
Improving to 2-1 in NEC play, it was a come-from-behind win for LIU, who found themselves down 1-0 by the end of the first half.
Flavie Boulanger scored her team-leading third goal of the season at the 59:46 mark to tie things up at one apiece.
Gigi Rabielli followed that up with a goal of her own not long after to give the Sharks a 2-1 lead.
It became an all-new ball game once again when Delaware State tied the score at two with just under sixteen minutes left to play. LIU's
Casey Beauregard propelled her team to victory by scoring the Sharks' third goal of the game at the 83:11 mark, cementing the eventual win.
The Sharks shot a season-high 19 shots (including 15 on goal and a season-high 3 goals) in the victory.
LIU returns to the field Sunday, Oct. 4, hosting Chicago State.
