NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - The LIU women's water polo team finished the regular season on the road Sunday, beating Iona 13-9. With the win, the Sharks finish the year with a 7-0 record heading into the MAAC championships next weekend.

Paola Dominguez and Jessica Dean each had five goals to lead the Sharks in the win. Jenna Anderson added two, and Diba Peiravani had one. Xonhane Medina had three assists. In goal, Julia Zebak had seven blocks, while Rebecca Ansell had four blocks and a steal.

Up next, the Sharks will head to the 2021 MAAC Championships, being hosted by Marist, May 1 and 2.
