Men's Soccer to Host Annual College I.D. Clinics, Summer Day Camps

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Long Island University men's soccer coaching staff announced a series of summer camps and clinics through the Shark Soccer School on Friday, April 3. The series will include two one-day College I.D. Clinics and a Summer Day Camp for youth footballers.

The Sharks will host the first of its College I.D. Clinics on July 19, and the second session will take place on August 2. The I.D. clinic is open to any and all boys soccer players ages 14-21 and provides an opportunity for athletes to be seen not only by the LIU coaching staff, but other college coaches as well. The clinic will put players into a competitive environment, with skill sessions and games that allow athletes the chance to make an impression on coaches. Along with the skill demonstration, coaches will also provide a session that gives players an insight into the recruiting process. The cost is set at $145 per session with a discounted rate of $200 available to all participants who register for both sessions up front.

The annual Summer Day Camp will be held from July 27-30. The camp provides a variety of fun games to engage kids while teaching them the fundamental skills of soccer. For three hours each day, the coaching staff will seek to develop and improve each player's technique, skill, and creativity with the ball. The camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day and is open to all boys and girls kindergarten through eighth grade. Registration is set at $175 per participant if registered prior to June 27, and $195 per participant from June 27 to the start of the camp.
