Pink Out
The Sharks will be wearing pink on Saturday to raise awareness for breast cancer, and support LIU Post alum and Wesleyan University women's lacrosse head coach Kim Williams who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Williams was a member of the 2007 National Champion squad and a three-time IWLCA All-American. Williams was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer on January 29, and underwent surgery just two weeks before her season started. The NESCAC coaches hosted their Coaches vs. Cancer games this week and raised money in her name to donate to the American Cancer Society. The Sharks will have a 50/50 raffle at the game to support Kim and raise money for the American Cancer Society. In addition, there is a GoFundMe page set up in her name to help raise money for her cold cap treatment. Fans who would like to donate to Kim's GoFundMe, can head to this
link.
