BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Long Island University wrestling team is set to host a pair of Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association duals on Sunday, Feb. 15 when Harvard University and Brown University head to Brookville. The two Ivy League members will travel to Long Island for a split day of competition with LIU and nearby Hofstra University on Saturday following a day of competition at Columbia University on Saturday, Feb. 15.
SCOUTING BROWN
Brown enters the weekend with a 1-7 overall mark in dual matches this season, including an 0-6 record in EIWA duals. The Bears will open Sunday at the Pratt Recreation Center at 11:00 a.m. before making the short trek to Hempstead in the afternoon.
Ricky Cabanillas leads Brown with 17 total victories this season but has earned just three wins in eight dual matches. Jack Bokina and Nino Bastianelli rank second and third in wins at 149 and 197, respectively. The duo have combined for 29 wins this year, including 15 by Bokina and 14 by Bastianelli. At 133, Charlie Faber has impressed in his first season, earning 11 wins and ranks second on the team with 20 dual points. All four of his dual victories have come via major decision.

SCOUTING HARVARD
Harvard boasts five nationally-ranked grapplers on its roster, including Yaraslau Slavikouski who ranks in the top-10 in every individual ranking at heavyweight. At 165, Phillip Conigliaro checks in at No. 9 in the Rating Percentage Index and tallies a composite ranking of 16.0. The duo lead Harvard with 23 victories apiece in their first collegiate season, helping to guide a group of first-year grapplers who account for 68-percent of the team's wins this year.
Despite the strong lineup, the Crimson enter the weekend with just a 1-8 record in duals, including a 1-5 mark in EIWA matchups.

LIU NOTES
Ryan Ferro has been a spark for LIU at 165 since joining the Sharks mid-season. Ferro has wins in his last three bouts, including a last-second reversal for a come-from-behind win against Columbia's Riley Jacops.
Rhise Royster and
Mark Malico each suffered decisions by three or fewer points in LIU's last dual and are on the cusp of bursting through for a strong close to the 2019-20 season. Royster has six wins overall in his first season, including four in dual matches to rank third on the team, while Malico also boasts six total wins and ranks second with five dual wins.
