BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — LIU wrestling earned its first win of the season on Tuesday night, defeating Nassau Community College 43-11.
 
Carter Pack (133) secured the Sharks' first win of the match, defeating Jaime Sanchez, TF 17-2.
 
Many of Pack's teammates followed suit, with Amir Avazov (def. S. Pelaze, F 3:00 16-3), Tommy Bonasera (def. J. Lugo, F 3-0), Brayden Roberts (def. J. De La Rosa, TF 5:00 17-1), Greyson Catlow-Sidler (def. Y Abdali, F 16-3), Jack Valentin (def. A. Valasquez, TF 5:00 20-5), John Dusza (def. N Foster, TF 3:00 20-1), and Chris Powell (def. D. Albertilli, TF 3:00 20-2) emerging with victories of their own to help LIU bring home the match win.
 
The Sharks will return to action on Friday, Dec. 19, visiting Binghamton at 6:07 p.m.
