Bethlehem, Pa. — The Sharks had a strong showing on the second day of the EIWA tournament, with five wrestlers securing placements and pushing for at-large bids to the NCAA Championships.
• Blake Bahna started the day with a loss to No. 8 seed Ryland Rodgers of Lehigh, finishing 8th—his first time placing at EIWAs.
• Robbie Sagaris avenged an earlier loss with an impressive 11-8 victory over No. 30-ranked Desmond Pleasent. In the third-place match, he fell 8-5 to Binghamton's Carson Wagner, finishing fourth overall.
• Brayden Roberts suffered a heartbreaking last-second loss to No. 4 seed Dan Wirnsberger but bounced back with a dominant 9-0 victory over Jack Nies of American, securing fifth place.
• Anthony D'Alesio earned a 4-1 decision over Dan Williams of Navy and followed it up with a 4-2 win over Giuseppe Hoose of Drexel to claim third place.
• Chris Powell fell to Xavier Doolin in the opening match and then lost a hard-fought overtime battle 8-5 against Drexel's Logan Shepard, finishing sixth.
The Sharks finished ninth in the team standings with 52 points, marking their highest placement in program history at the EIWA Championships. Now, they await potential at-large bids to the NCAA tournament.
