BROOKVILLE, N.Y. . — LIU women's rugby started off its season on a positive note, defeating Princeton 54-7 on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Sharks were led by Kori Fields, who scored three tries en route to a hat trick. Sayler Russell added two tries of her own, and Harper Schindler boasted seven of eight conversions.
 
LIU will return to play on Saturday, Sept. 6, visiting Army at West Point, N.Y. at 1 p.m.
