BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Mark Regan's seven-point performance in LIU's 14-9 win over Detroit Mercy earned him NEC Player of the Week honors, propelling the Sharks to their seventh-straight win on Saturday.
Regan played a role in half of LIU's goals as the Sharks improved to 4-0 at home and 2-0 in NEC play.
The redshirt senior tied the game at four with 2:33 remaining in the first half before erupting for six more points (three goals, three assists) over the final three quarters.
The West Islip, N.Y., native also surpassed 100 career goals during the win and now has 15 goals and 15 assists through eight games in the 2025 campaign.
Regan previously scored a season-high four goals against Iona on Feb. 15 in LIU's 14-9 win over the Gaels.
His career-high in goals and points came against VMI, when he recorded six goals and two assists in LIU's 14-13 win on March 11, 2023.
LIU next plays at Wagner on Friday at 3 p.m.
