BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — LIU men's lacrosse goaltender
Brayden Wilcken did it again.
The redshirt freshman was named the NEC Rookie of the Week for the fourth consecutive week after another stellar, winning performance in net for the Sharks.
Wilcken improved to 5-0 on the season after helping lead LIU to a 13-9 win over Queens University of Charlotte on Saturday afternoon.
The Mount Sinai, N.Y., native stopped nine shots in 60 minutes of action.
LIU remains unbeaten with Wilcken in net. He made his collegiate debut in the second half of the Sharks' 15-12 come-from-behind win over Mount St. Mary's on Feb. 8.
"Brayden has been great all season long," said head coach
Jordan Levine. "He gets the job done in the classroom and on the field. We are proud of what he has done."
Wilcken was also named an NEC Prime Performer along with teammates
Cameron Connolly and Tyle Davide.
LIU returns to action at Mercyhurst this Saturday at noon.
