BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Goaltender Brayden Wilcken has been named the NEC Rookie of the Week after helping lead the LIU men's lacrosse team to a 14-9 win over Iona on Feb. 15.

Wilcken, a redshirt freshman from Mount Sinai, N.Y., stopped 11 shots in 60 minutes of action against the Gaels and earned his second win of the season.

LIU returns to action Saturday at 1 p.m. against Siena at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
