BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU men's lacrosse team earned the No. 3 spot in the Northeast Conference Preseason Poll, as announced by the NEC on Wednesday afternoon.

LIU returns to the NEC after competing in the MAAC during the 2024 season and begins its 2025 campaign at Rutgers on Feb. 4.

"We are excited for the spring season and to be back in the NEC," said head coach Jordan Levine, who enters his third season at LIU. "The Sharks will look to build upon the positive growth from 2024 and compete at a high level. That will be achieved through consistency, commitment, and hard work."

The Sharks return to Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium for their home opener against Iona on Feb. 15, followed by home games against Siena (Feb. 22) and Bellarmine (Mar. 1).

LIU opens NEC play at Mercyhurst Mar. 15.
