BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) on Wednesday honored 40 LIU athletes from the men's lacrosse and women's water polo teams as 2023-2024 MAAC Academic Honor Roll recipients.
Student-athletes who are named to the MAAC Academic Honor Roll must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above for the previous school year.
"We're happy and proud of our student-athletes who excelled with such a high-level, Division I athletic practice schedule and a rigorous academic slate that shows their athletic determination is matched by their academic prowess," said women's water polo head coach Gabby Juarez. "It's truly a testament to the hard work of our athletes that they earned MAAC All-Academic honors this past season."
"This is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the work ethic of our players. These young men continue to represent our program in a positive light, and I couldn't be more proud," said men's lacrosse head coach
Jordan Levine.
