BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The Northeast Conference honored the LIU women's lacrosse team with notable regular-season awards ahead of the Sharks' NEC semifinal game.

Kerri Liucci and
Meghan Els earned the NEC Coaching Staff of the Year Award.
McNamarra, in her 17th season, led the Sharks to a 9-7 regular-season record, which included a 9-1 conference record, as the Sharks finished the regular season on an eight-game win streak.
McNamarra, Liucci, and Els also coached LIU to a share of its first-ever NEC Regular Season Title.
Additionally, five student-athletes ended up with All-Conference honors.
Olivia Fantigrossi and
Julia Trainor earned First-Team All-Conference honors.
Fantigrossi scored a team-high 37 goals, and Trainor led the team with 51 points after scoring 31 goals and tallying 21 assists. Trainor also led the team with 21 ground balls.
Mylie Norton,
Amanda Weber, and
Catherine Robles earned Second-Team All-Conference honors.
Norton went 7-2 in the cage and logged nearly 600 minutes in net. Weber led the team with 82 draw controls and scooped up 19 ground balls. Robles was second on the team with 20 ground balls.
LIU plays Stonehill in the NEC semifinals on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Sacred Heart.
