Box Score BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Tom von Bargen's biggest goal of his collegiate career came on Senior Day in LIU's 10-9 overtime win against Quinnipiac.
 
von Bargen found the back of the net with less than three minutes left in the extra frame, lifting LIU to a win in its final regular-season game of the year.
 
The win marks LIU's first-ever ten-win season since its Division I inception in 2020-21.
 
The Sharks, now 10-3 overall and 7-2 in the MAAC, trailed 9-7 just under the midway point in the fourth quarter but found a way to battle back.
 
Drew Togno scored two goals in a two-minute span to tie the game at 9 with under five minutes to play, eventually leading into overtime.
 
And that's when von Bargen produced the game-winning goal in the extra frame.
 
LIU next plays in the MAAC Tournament. Its opponent is TBD.
 
The Sharks honored 16 seniors before the game.
