Box Score BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Olivia Fantigrossi scored a career-high-matching four goals, all in the first half. However, the LIU women's lacrosse team fell to visiting UMass, 15-6, on Saturday at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
After
Ava Taylor's goal with 6 minutes, 35 seconds remaining in the second quarter gave the Sharks a 6-5 lead, UMass followed with 10 unanswered goals to close the contest.
UMass led in draw controls, 21-6. That include 9-0 after halftime.
LIU next travels to Loretto, Pa., to face Saint Francis U next Saturday at 1 p.m. in the NEC opener.
