WILMINGTON, N.C. – The LIU men's golf team competed in the Seahawk Intercollegiate, hosted by UNC Wilmington, finishing 14
th among all teams in the two-day tournament. This concludes the Sharks third spring event of 2022.
Through the entire tournament, LIU shot team scores of 307, 300, and 302 in all three rounds respectively. The highest individual finish came from freshman
Lewis Wright, who tied for 39
th overall among all golfers during the weekend. Wright improved in each round he competed in, finishing day three by shooting a 72 to finish 8-over-par. Additionally, Wright placed inside the top-20 in pars (33).
The closest Sharks behind Wright were
Kyle Underwood, who shot 75, 77, and 76 through three rounds, and
Andrè Ulvenes Kleppe, who scored a 73 on round two.
