Arjun Singh Bhatia of the Long Island University men's golf team claimed the individual conference title at the 2026 NEC Men's Golf Championship on Sunday at Turf Valley Resort. The reigning NEC Golfer of the Year, who was named NEC Golfer of the Month once during the fall 2025 season and NEC Golfer of the Week once earlier in this spring season, led after all three rounds of the championship, finishing the tournament 5-under par (208).
Singh Bhatia was the only golfer to shoot under par in all three rounds of the tournament. His 54-hole score matched the second-best in tournament history and was just two shy of the conference record.
As the team, the Sharks finished in second place, seven shots back of Howard University who claimed the team title.
The 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship will be held May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California.
