BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Arjun Singh Bhatia of the Long Island University men's golf team was named NEC Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday. LIU golfers Andres Manllo and Taimur Malik also received NEC Prime Performer recognition.

This past weekend at The Peoples Championship hosted by Western Carolina University at Sea Palms Resort, Singh Bhatia finished in a tie for fourth place individually out of 123 golfers in the field. He carded rounds of 68-75-64 for a total of six-under 207 and a stroke average of 69.0.

The weekly honor is Singh Bhatia's third of his career and first of this spring. The reigning NEC Golfer of the Year was previously named NEC Golfer of the Month in September.

Manllo finished The Peoples Championship T-25^th (+1) and Malik finished T-30^th (+2).

The Sharks return to action April 6-7 at the Wildcat Spring Invitational hosted by Villanova University at Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey.
