BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association released its Regular Season All-America Award winners for the 2022 season, and
Mara Titarsolej was named to the uneven bars first-team with a national qualifying score of 9.940. Titarsolej's all-American honors mark the first time in program history that an LIU gymnast has earned this prestigious distinction.
It was a record-breaking sophomore campaign for Titarsolej, who will be competing at the NCAA Regional Championships next Thursday, March 31. During the last Sharks home meet of 2022 against North Carolina, Titarsolej scored the programs first perfect 10.000 on uneven bars. Her NQS of 9.940 finished in a three-way tie for eighth among all gymnasts in the country.
Additionaly, Titarsolej won the East Atlantic Gymnastics League Specialist of the Week four times during the regular season. At the EAGL Championships in Washington, D.C., she also took home the honors of EAGL Specialist of the Year with the highest NQS among all gymnasts in the league.
Titarsolej will compete in the NCAA Championships next Thursday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m.
