SMYRNA, Tenn. – The LIU bowling team finished the Columbia 300 Music City Classic Sunday, beating two ranked teams on the last day. The Sharks went 2-1 on the final day in the three-round, best of seven baker bracket. LIU finished with an 8-4 record on the weekend, good for 15th out of 33 of the nation's best teams.

• LIU dropped the first match of the day, falling to #23 Central Missouri, 4-0. (156-181, 160-169, 146-200, 161-201).
• The Sharks bounced back by beating #21 Lewis, 4-1 (205-161, 223-169, 169-174, 203-196, 224-160).
• And LIU capped the day beating #24 Monmouth, 4-2 (156-222, 226-181, 222-170, 208-178, 166-194, 197-168).
• Up next, the Sharks head to the Northeast Conference tournament. LIU will take on FDU in the play-in match, Thursday, March 24 at 9 a.m.
