STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The LIU women's bowling team came away with its second tournament win of the young season on Sunday.
The Sharks were the high-point team at the Wagner-hosted Seahawk Invite.
LIU bowled a total score of 8,855 over five traditional and five Baker matches on Saturday and Sunday at Rab's Country Lanes on Staten Island.
That pin total defeated runner-up Molloy (8,722) as well as Wagner (8,629) and Adelphi (8,287).
In the traditional competition,
Charlize Wanner finished third overall among the 34 student-athletes, bowling an average of 186.2.
Teammate
Sarah Orensky was fourth overall, with an average of 185.0.
The Sharks had a 5-5 record during the competition.
They return to action at the first Northeast Conference meet of the season this upcoming Saturday and Sunday in North Brunswick, N.J.
