BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – For the second week in a row, sophomore Mara Titarsolej was named EAGL Specialist of the Week, per an official release Wednesday morning. Last week, the honor for Titarsolej was the first time any LIU gymnast had earned the recognition. 
 
Titarsolej continues to perform at a spectacular level on bars. She won the event at both the Towson Quad Meet with a mark of 9.950. This score sets a new LIU record on bars, as well as the highest score in any event in program history. At the George Washington Quad Meet, she took the crown with a 9.925. 
 
Out of the six meets the Sharks have participated in, Titarsolej has only finished lower than first on bars twice. She also won the event in home meets against Yale and Temple on January 23 and January 30.
 
LIU returns to the Pratt Recreation Center this Sunday to host North Carolina State in its second to last home meet of the 2022 season.
