Gymnastics Competes in George Washington Quad Meet

WASHINGTON, D.C.
 – The LIU gymnastics team finished up its road trip at George Washington University for the George Washington Quad Meet on Sunday. The Sharks competed against GW, Eastern Michigan, and Temple, finishing fourth with a team score of 193.575.
 
SHARK BITES
  • On vault, the Sharks had a team score of 48.250. The highest score belonged to Katy Koopman with a 9.750. 
  • Moving to bars, Mara Titarsolej continues to score near her career-best with a 9.925 showing this afternoon. For the fourth week in a row, Titarsolej walks away as the winner of the event.
  • The balance beam saw Taylor Doten earn a season-best mark of 9.825, which ties her career high. This mark gave Doten second place in the event.
  • On the floor, Reagan Jones led LIU with a 9.850, while Ella Castellanos had a 9.800 mark. Jones finished tied for fourth overall with her score.
  • Up next, the Sharks will host North Carolina State in the Pratt Recreation Center on Sunday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m.
