Bowling Wraps Up NEC Meet 2

MOUNT JOY, Pa. – The LIU bowling team wrapped up the second Northeast Conference meet of the season Sunday, going 1-3 on the second day of action. The Sharks finish with a 3-4 meet record, and are 8-6 against NEC opponents so far this season.
 
SHARK BITES
  • LIU opened the day with a loss to Wagner, 907-897. Freshman Sydney Binkley led the Sharks in the match, bowling a 220.
  • In the next match, the Sharks took on No. 12 Duquesne, falling to the Dukes, 1020-982. Brittany Lucci had a 251 for the team high, while Kellie Frain had a 207.
  • The lone win of the day came against St. Francis Brooklyn, whom LIU beat 1069-869. Senior Patricia Kelly bowled a 264 to lead LIU, while Binkley had a 259, and Sarah Orensky bowled a 217.
  • The Sharks capped the day with a loss to No.9 Mount St. Mary's, 1021-887. Kelly bowled a 203 for the top score.
  • Binkley finished the day with the highest average, bowling 205 for four games, while Kelly had a 202 average over four games.
  • Up next, the Sharks head to Dallas, Texas, to take part in the Louisiana Tech Bulldog Classic, February 11-13.
