Bowling Goes 2-1 on Day One of NEC Meet 2

MOUNT JOY, Pa. – The LIU bowling team had a strong start at the second Northeast Conference Meet of the season, going 2-1 with a win over a top-15 ranked team. LIU is 7-3 in conference play after day one.
 
SHARK BITES
  • The Sharks started the day with a loss to #19 Sacred Heart, 1031-1026. Francesca Rossi led LIU with a 249, and Kellie Frain bowled a 214.
  • The second match of the day saw LIU beat #15 ranked FDU, 977-855. Rossi led LIU again, bowling a 222, while Sarah Orensky had a 213.
  • The Sharks capped the day with a win over Saint Francis U., 963-955. Brittany Lucci had a 221 to lead LIU in the win, while Frain had a 202.
  • Rossi finished the day with a 215.3 average over three games to lead the Sharks, while Lucci had a 208 average for two games.
  • The Sharks are back in average Sunday, with matches slated against Wagner, Duquesne, St. Francis Brooklyn and Mount St. Mary's.
